In 1967, Jerome B. Trout, Jr. co-founded
Trout and Fox, Inc. which evolved into Trout, Segall & Doyle,
Inc. in 1985. His retail ventures include the development, brokerage
and management of properties ranging from single stores to major
regional malls. Among his most notable successes are the land
assembly, development and leasing of the Annapolis Restaurant
Park, Annapolis Plaza (a strip center), Annapolis Mall, Randallstown
Plaza, Dover Mall, Dover Crossing, and Winchester Station. Currently,
he is concentrating his efforts toward site selection for a
number of “big box” or “power” users
and the development of properties in Delaware and Virginia and
redevelopment of a number of retail properties. Mr. Trout is
a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
A graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and the University
of Maryland, Mr. Trout studied law and served in the Korean
War before entering into the commercial real estate business
in 1953 with the firm, B. Howard Richards, Inc.
